For context, I'm new to the whole outdoor survival/backcountry camping/bushcraft realm. I've been watching YouTubers for a while, and just got into some books, and doing research and planning for next spring/summer. One of the things I've seen a bit of conflicting opinion on is whether or not to wear socks to sleep. Some people pack an extra pair in their bags/blankets just for sleeping (which sounds like a really good idea) but others recommend sleeping bare foot to improve heat absorption and allow the feet to breath.
What do you all think? Do you sleep with or without socks, and what does your sleep setup look like? Any personal experiences you can share that might help me figure out the best method for me? Thanks!
